Welcome! So glad to have you. We just wanted to give you a few tips to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

TV Remotes: One remote is for the TV and Cable. The smaller remote is for the DVD. You should find a selection of DVD’s near the tv.

You should find Keurig coffee pods next to or beneath the coffee maker, hand soap, dish detergent, a laundry pod and toiletries in the bathroom to get you started.

You are in the heart of historic Downtown New Braunfels. Exit the house, take a left on Zink, and a left on Seguin, walk three blocks to the roundabout. This is a great way to orient yourself to downtown New Braunfels.

Here are a few of our favorite eating establishments within an easy walk:

• McAdoo’s Seafood 196 N. Castell Ave. – great atmosphere, beautiful courtyard
• Huisache Grill 303 W. San Antonio – great food, atmosphere, shops & firepit
• 7 Monks Café 494 Sequin – great Indian food, picnic tables
• Myron’s Steakhouse 136 Castell Ave
• Krauses Café 169 Hill St. – German food, indoor/outdoor Biergarten with lots on tap
• Farmer’s Market 186 S. Castell Ave (next to Krauses) Saturdays Only 9am – 1pm
• Muck & Fuss 295 San Antonio – Burgers and sandwiches – fun indoor/outdoor restaurant
• Sidecar at Prince Solms Inn 295 San Antonio (next to Muck & Fuss) – great atmosphere, tapas, live music
• Downtown Social 386 San Antonio – great variety, atmosphere, bowling, & games

For floating on the Comal, you are 2.5 blocks from Texas Tubes (250 Meusebach St, New Braunfels, 78130 (830-626-9900) www.texastubes.com

Don’t forget to enjoy the pavilion here on property. There is a grill for cooking and a firepit – both are hard piped to natural gas so no propane bottles. You only need a lighter and to turn them on. Both have a shut off valve (red or yellow), and an operational valve/knob (black). Make sure both are turned on before lighting.

Check-In and Check-Out Instructions

Welcome to Cabernet at the Zink Haus property!  Below are some basic instructions to get you started, help you with your stay, and help you prepare for departure.

Arrival

• Cabernet is the large house on left side of driveway when you arrive
• There is parking on property for 2 cars max. More public parking is next door in public lot
• Do not park on street
• The main entryway is the side door about midway back off the driveway
• Door code is 1969 “check” to unlock (you can call or text property manager if having trouble)
• If you text us about 1 hour prior to arrival, we can see that it is unlocked for you

During Stay

• Front Door – please use keyed deadbolt to lock and unlock
• There are Kureg coffee pods for about 4 people to get you started
• There is one dishwasher pod for one load of dishes under sink
• There is one clothes washer pod for one load of laundry in laundry area
• Living Room TV is cable, has smart apps, and there is a DVD player and movies below the TV
• Front Bedroom TV is Roku and requires a free subscription to access apps (Netflix, Prime, etc.)
• Wifi is “ZinkHaus Wifi” and pass is “zinkhaus2021”
• Thermostat can be adjusted by turning bezel. Push bezel to change heat/cool mode
• Restaurants and shops are 3-block walk South and East of house
• Texas Tubes for Comal River put-in is 2 blocks West and North of house

Departure

• Please notify property manager when you depart. Check out is 12 noon.
• Lock front door with keyed deadbolt only – DO NOT LOCK HAND-TURNED DEADBOLT
• Leave through main side door, and lock electronic lock per instructions

Electronic Lock Instructions

• To Unlock:
  • Touch lock keypad to wake keypad
  • Type in code 1969 and hit the “checkmark” to open
  • Door will unlock
• To Lock:
  • Touch “Yale” logo to wake keypad
  • Touch the “checkmark” to lock
